Hello, I am Monique
Greene and this is my first year at V.L.T. Academy. I have been teaching Math and coaching
girls’ basketball and cross country in Kentucky for 13 years. I am from Columbus, Ohio and YES I am an
Ohio State Buckeye fan. GOOO Bucks! I
am a former student athlete of the Xavier Women’s Basketball team. I currently have one 25lb feline cat named
Mufasa. I am looking forward to
joining the great staff (family) of V.L.T. Academy and enriching my students

My name is Roderique’
Russell. I will be teaching Geometry
and Introduction to Engineering. Yes, this is the “WONDERFUL WORLD OF
MATH!!!!” I am from Middletown, Ohio.
I am a proud graduate of Kentucky State University with a Bachelor of Arts in
Education (Mathematics Concentration). I have been teaching for 10 years and
this is my second year at V.L.T. Academy. I love music and teaching. YES I will push you to be the best you can
possibly be in academics and through-out life. I hope during the school year
we can have fun while we learn together.

Welcome! I am Mr. Barron and this will
be my third year teaching math and science at V.L.T. Academy. I am a graduate of the University of
Cincinnati. Some of my interests
include the Pittsburgh Stealers, music, and forming close relationships with
my students. My goal at V.L.T. Academy
is to prepare ever student for college while providing them the support they

The Advanced Placement course in Calculus is
designed to give students a critical outlook on the applications of
calculus. This course involves the functions,
graphs, limits, differentiation, applications of differentiation, integration,
and the applications of integration. The one-semester course will emphasize the
application of calculus to a variety of disciplines. Course concentration will focus on extreme
function values, techniques of graphing, the definite integral its
applications, and improper integrals. As
in all AP courses, students are expected to complete additional
assignments. This is a college prep course that motivates rising high school
students to experience undergraduate life, both academically and socially,
while earning college credits. Students enrolled in an AP course are
required to take the AP exam in May and will be billed approximately $87.00.
