Our Technology Mission

VLT Academy is fully vested into integrating technology into the college prep curriculum and in the classroom to complement instruction to the whole child and learning. The use of better technology in the administrative functioning of VLT Academy is also of importance in order to increase the efficiency of managing communication, services, finances and student information. Recommendations for the decision making process involves all faculty so that software and hardware applications are purchase, upgraded and implemented that most desirably meet the academic and management needs and requirements.

The use of technology should:

• Enhance the achievement of lifelong learning skills by students;
• Support, supplement and enhance instruction and model for students the use of technology in post-secondary education and in the workplace;
• Nurture individual and cooperative problem solving for students in the learning process and for faculty in the decision making of curriculum and services;
• Increase accessibility of information for all clients and facilitate the required report of information to the state and federal governments;
• Strengthen operations and communication capabilities for VLT Academy;
• Be made available to all students to use either during or after school hours to accommodate those whose families do not access to a computer system.
